Buffy Reflection

I liked the Buffy TV show we watched in class today. It was easy to follow even though I have never seen an episode of Buffy before. It was kind of cheesy and the fighting scenes and the special effects were pretty bad. The plot was really good though. The plot really developed the characters. I liked how the costumes showed the personalities of each character. I also liked how Buffy went from an ass-kicking vampire slayer to 18th century royalty. These two characters were polar opposites. I also liked it when the soldier kicked the crap out  of the pirate. The irony in that was funny. The show of course had a happy ending when Buffy saves the day and she gets the guy. It did leave off with a cliff hanger though. The teacher has a dark past from what I gathered. All in all it was a good show and It was cool to see a show from the 90's because TV has changed a lot since then.

  1. I like how much we picked up from a single episode of Buffy, I think you hit on that well in your post. I agree with the cheesiness and the lame effects, but I bet it was a lot cooler 15 years ago!

  2. Jordan I agree with the cliff hanger. I wanted to know more about the teacher's past. I also agree with seeing how the T.V. shows have changed from then to now.

  3. I have to say, that show was a lot cooler when it first came out! It was funny to watch it now and see how horribly cheesy it was and how when I was younger, I really didn't think it was bad. It was fun to see a blast from the past. I agree with you about how it was cool that the soldier got to kick some butt. Revenge of the nerds!

  4. I'm glad to see you guys had such a good conversation about the show. I will let you in on a little tid bit . . . Giles (the guy you guys are curious about) has a very dark past. It involves witchcraft, and Ethan has something to do with it.

I won't spoil any more, but a few episodes later a lot of it is revealed.

I'm glad you were able to enjoy aspects of the show!
